My name is Olivia Hudson Knepshield, and I am an Artist and Fashion Designer based in NYC, but open to relocation. I have a passion for storytelling through creativity and design. I originally grew up in Louisville, KY but followed my love for fashion and art to Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. I earned a degree in Fashion design and a minor in Fashion Illustration during my time as a student. My studies also took me to Hong Kong where I studied abroad for one semester Fall 2019. My experiences in Hong Kong gave me an international perspective on the fashion industry, global trends, culture, and overseas manufacturing.

After completing my education, I moved to NYC to pursue my professional goal of becoming a fashion designer. I started out with an internship at Williamsburg Garment Co. cutting and sewing custom denim jeans and performing jean/trouser alterations for men and women. I also worked full time at Mood Fabrics in the Garment District of NYC to support myself until I was hired as an employee at WGC. I quickly caught the attention of other brands in need of skilled garment construction and took a sample making job at Alix of Bohemia. I worked for Alix for a short time making woven shirt garment samples for her Indian factories as a physical reference for print/pattern placement.

This journey has lead me to my current position at Express as assistant designer for woven tops and total denim departments. I am a valuable member of my design team because I am committed to creating the most elevated, fashion looks for our customer that reflects the versatility and functionality of her lifestyle. I bring both an artistic vision as well as technical expertise to my work. I thrive in collaborative environments where each team member's perspective is valued. I work well when I am challenged, and I look forward to learning and building new skills at the next opportunity!
